Biological Scientist

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Biological Scientist to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of biosciences. The successful candidate will be involved in studying living organisms, their interactions, and their environments to discover solutions for health, agriculture, and environmental sustainability. This role includes conducting experiments, analyzing biological data, and collaborating with other scientists to drive forward the understanding of biological systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct experimental research on a variety of biological systems, including microorganisms, plants, and animals.
• Use molecular biology techniques (PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning) to study gene function and expression.
• Analyze biological data, interpret results, and generate hypotheses for further investigation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and execute research projects.
• Develop and optimize laboratory protocols and methodologies.
• Present research findings through scientific publications, reports, and presentations at conferences.
• Stay informed of the latest advancements in biological sciences and related technologies.
• Support grant applications and contribute to the development of research proposals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction, cell culture, and microscopy.
• Proficiency in data analysis software and bioinformatics tools.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with teams.
• Experience with research techniques specific to areas like microbiology, genomics, or environmental biology is a plus.
