Cryogenic Container
QyroPak: Future Quantum Cryogenic Systems by CETQAP
CETQAP (Centre of Excellence for Technology Quantum and AI Pakistan) will be developing advanced quantum cryogenic containers, also known as dilution refrigerators or cryostats, to cool quantum systems to milli-Kelvin (mK) temperatures, essential for quantum computing and experiments. The specifications and dimensions of these systems will include:
Volume and Size: The cryogenic containers will be designed with ample experimental volume, potentially around 1.7 cubic meters. The design will be modular, aiming to optimize space while supporting the integration of quantum processors.
Cooling Capacity: CETQAP’s cryogenic systems will feature cooling power of up to 3000 µW at 100 mK, capable of supporting more than 1000 qubits. The base temperature flange will provide a significant surface area of about 1.6 m² to accommodate various system components.
User Access and Maintenance: The systems will be designed for easy user access, featuring full-height doors and direct access to the payload area. This design will enable the system to be operated and maintained by a single person, ensuring efficient long-term functionality.
Quantum Software Framework
BARQ, developed by CETQAP (Centre of Excellence for Technology Quantum and AI Pakistan), is Pakistan’s first quantum software framework. It is designed to handle complex quantum computing tasks with high speed and efficiency, symbolized by the name “BARQ,” meaning “lightning” in Urdu.
The framework will provide a wide array of features, with over 20 unique capabilities tailored to the demands of quantum computing. It aims to improve quantum software development and processing speeds, helping push forward advancements in quantum research and applications.
As CETQAP’s flagship quantum software, BARQ will be an integral part of Pakistan’s quantum computing ecosystem, advancing both national and global technological progress.
