Pakistan Joins the International Year of Quantum
2025 marked a historic year for quantum science and technology — and CETQAP brought Pakistan to the global celebration.
As the world observed the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ2025), CETQAP organized and hosted the IYQ2025 Pakistan Opening Ceremony, bringing together researchers, scientists, educators, students, and international quantum experts to celebrate the future of quantum technology.
The Pakistan event was held on 14 February 2025 and was listed on the official IYQ2025 global events platform.
A National Celebration of Quantum Science
CETQAP did more than participate in IYQ2025. It created a dedicated platform for Pakistan to celebrate, discuss, and engage with the global quantum movement.

Pakistan on the Global Quantum Map
IYQ2025 also provided an important indication of the changing quantum landscape in Pakistan.
The 2025 UNESCO Global Quantum Research and Infrastructure Survey includes Pakistan among countries showing activity and policy demand related to areas including quantum education, talent development, research infrastructure, international collaboration, and private institutional participation.
While the UNESCO survey presents country-level findings and does not identify individual organizations, CETQAP’s visible activity during IYQ2025 represents a significant example of Pakistan’s emerging private-sector engagement with quantum technology.
CETQAP: A Private-Sector Quantum Pioneer
CETQAP has positioned itself as a pioneering private-sector institution dedicated to quantum computing, quantum technology, and AI in Pakistan.
